Your privacy, explained simply.

1. Who we are

DownloadVideo ("we", "us", "our") operates the website downloadvideo.net.in. We are based in India and our team can be reached at hello@downloadvideo.net.in.

2. What we collect

2.1 Information you give us

We don't ask for personally identifiable information. There is no sign-up, no login, no account. You're never required to enter your name, email, phone number, or any social media credential to use the downloader.

If you choose to email us (e.g., for support or a DMCA notice), we receive the email address and message you send. We use that only to respond to you.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit DownloadVideo, we automatically receive standard request data:

• Your IP address — used in-memory for rate limiting (to stop bot abuse) and converted to a coarse country/region for analytics. We don't store full IPs in our analytics.
• Browser type, OS, screen size — for fixing compatibility issues.
• Referring page and the page you visited — to understand which content is useful.
• Timestamps — to detect unusual traffic patterns.

2.3 The video you paste

When you submit a video URL, our edge worker contacts the source platform (e.g., Instagram, YouTube), retrieves the public download links, and returns them to your browser. We do not save the video file on our servers. We do not log which video you downloaded against your IP.

3. What we don't collect

• We don't ask for or store passwords for any platform.
• We don't request access to your camera, mic, contacts, or files.
• We don't collect data about other tabs, apps, or activity outside our site.
• We don't sell, rent, or share data with data brokers.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. We may set a single anonymous preference cookie (e.g., your selected language) — this never contains identifying data and can be cleared from your browser at any time.

If we ever introduce advertising, we will update this policy and provide a cookie consent banner where required by law.

5. Third-party services we rely on

• Cloudflare — hosting, edge compute, DDoS protection. Cloudflare may process limited request metadata; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Google Fonts — typeface delivery. Standard CDN logs apply.
• Source platforms (Instagram, YouTube, etc.) — when you paste a link, our server makes a request to that platform on your behalf.

6. How long we keep data

• Request logs: 7 days (for abuse detection).
• Email correspondence: 12 months, then deleted unless you've asked us to retain it.
• Aggregated analytics: retained indefinitely in anonymous form.

7. Your rights

You can:

• Ask what information we hold about you (it'll almost certainly be nothing, but you're entitled to ask).
• Request deletion of any correspondence you've sent us.
• Object to processing or request restrictions where applicable under your local law.

8. Children

DownloadVideo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we may have inadvertently received such information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change accordingly. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 14 days.
