What's the difference between a Pin and a board?
A Pin is one individual piece of saved content — an image or video. A board is a collection of Pins a user organizes around a topic. Our downloader works on individual Pin links; it doesn't bulk-download an entire board.
Can I download an entire board at once?
Not currently — paste the link for each Pin you want individually.
Some Pins just link out to an article or product page — can I download those?
We can only fetch media that's actually hosted on Pinterest itself. A Pin that's primarily a preview thumbnail linking out to an external website doesn't have a downloadable video/image beyond that preview.
What image quality will I get?
The original resolution the uploader used, up to whatever size Pinterest serves that image at.
Will my video Pin download in 4K?
Only if the source video was actually uploaded in 4K — we fetch the highest-resolution file Pinterest itself serves for that Pin, but we can't upscale a lower-resolution upload into 4K. A lot of Pinterest video content is re-encoded to a more modest resolution on upload, so the honest answer is: it depends entirely on what the original poster uploaded, not on this tool.
Does this work for video Pins specifically, not just images?
Yes — paste the link to a video Pin and choose MP4 to save the video itself, not just a static preview frame.
Is downloading from Pinterest legal?
Saving public content for personal, non-commercial reference (like a mood board or personal inspiration folder) is generally accepted. Reposting someone else's pinned content as your own original work is a separate matter — credit the original source, which Pinterest itself usually links to.
